Important Notice to Unitholders

A&P Macau Pacatas Money Market Fund Unitholders General Meeting: 20 October 2026 (first call) or 27 October 2026 (second call), 14:30.

  • Why we are asking for your approval
Macau’s new Investment Funds Law took effect on 1 January 2026. Under this framework, AMCM Notice No. 024/2025 sets out the investment categories permitted for money market funds. We seek your approval to update the Fund’s rules to include these options, consistent with international money market fund practice.
  • Government and other high-quality short-term securities
Eligible instruments from the People’s Bank of China, Hong Kong’s Exchange Fund and the US Treasury provide alternatives to bank deposits, helping spread the Fund’s investments beyond banks.
  • Bank certificates of deposit (CDs)
These complement fixed deposits, offering more choice of investment periods. They may also be sold before maturity when market conditions allow, providing another way to meet cash needs.
  • Other money market funds
These provide access to a broader range of short-term investments, helping diversify the Fund’s portfolio.
  • Hedging instruments
Used exclusively to help protect the Fund against adverse market movements, never for speculation.
  • What this means for you
More flexibility to spread investments and manage cash, within the same investment limits. The Fund’s objectives remain unchanged: preserving capital, keeping money available and earning income in line with the money market.

Funds

As a company our strategy is to create flagship funds across asset classes that serve the local population – under the A&P Brand. Though we may issue diverse funds, the DNA is the same – an investment analysis based on our proprietary techniques developed at A&P IRI – Investment, Research, and Intelligence to provide the best allocation within each flagship class.

Our mandate is clear: to prioritize the launch of Public Funds that cater to the needs and aspirations of our local community. Alongside this, we will introduce select Opportunity Funds within a private fund structure, tailored for those seeking more targeted investment opportunities.

How we Launch Funds

Act of
Balancing Time

In the Fund industry time plays a crucial role: We must act rapidly to launch and secure a timely and advantageous entry when market conditions are favourable, yet we must manage the fund with the principle of “give time, time”, and focus on its steadfast progress through the financial undercurrents.

With this attitude we don’t aim to launch frequently, but when we do so, with quality and enduring longevity.

Criteria of Funds to be Launched

Our commitment is to meet the investment needs of our local community, with a priority on procuring assets denominated in Patacas, and on construing portfolios that range from conservative to broader risk spectrum.

The pulse of the broader market is our compass attentive to conditions across Fixed Income and Equities classes, guiding our criteria for fund selection.

The criteria are customer centric – to ensure the act of balancing time to the investors favour.
